Last night, I was craving something sweet and didn't feel like eating the delicious Ben and Jerry's New York Fudge in my freezer. I had some bananas so I decided to do my take on the famed New Orleanian, bananas foster. I also had some Trader Joe's crunchy cookie butter (that could've easily been my dessert).
I decided to caramelize the bananas using a little butter and brown sugar. I also sprinkled a little cinnamon on top.
I spread a little bit of the cookie butter on a piece of bread that i lightly toasted in the oven. Just barely golden.
Add the bananas on top and voila! A wonderful dessert.
I am no food photographer (or any other type of photographer for that matter) and this photo does no justice for the simple, decadence that is this dessert.
